WWE Hall of Famer JBL reminisced about his time as part of the legendary tag team APA alongside Ron Simmons.
Speaking on the Something to Wrestle podcast, JBL shared heartfelt memories of their partnership and reflected on whether he preferred his time in a tag team or as a singles competitor.
The APA days because I had Ron Simmons with me, no doubt about it, I loved Ron and I still love Ron. I was with him this past weekend and I had so much fun. I sat with him for hours, we had fun, we went to the airport together like we always do.
The APA, known for their hard-hitting style, became fan favourites during the Attitude Era, with Bradshaw and Simmons forming one of WWE’s most memorable duos. When asked if he would change anything about his career path, Bradshaw admitted that his bond with Simmons made those tag team days particularly special.
I just love Ron Simmons, and if I had been an APA member my entire career, I’d be fine with that.
Bradshaw went on to achieve great success as a singles competitor, becoming WWE Champion and cementing his legacy as one of the most dominant heels of the Ruthless Aggression Era. However, his words make it clear that his time in the APA, fuelled by friendship and camaraderie, holds a special place in his heart.

Bradshaw recalled how after a match with Vader, his beard smelt so bad that he had to get up in the early hours of the morning to shave off his beard.
