The Undertaker candidly disclosed a heated discussion he had with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware following the delivery of the first Tombstone Piledriver during the 1990 WWE Survivor Series event.
In an episode of Six Feet Under With Mark Calaway reflecting on his debut at WWE Survivor Series 1990, The Undertaker shed light on his encounter with Dusty Rhodes, The Hart Foundation, and Koko B. Ware, emphasising that the match was meticulously crafted to showcase his abilities and elevate his persona. Notably, The Undertaker’s very first Tombstone was executed on Koko, culminating in a defining moment for both wrestlers.
Recalling the aftermath of the match, The Undertaker revealed that Koko confronted him in the hallway, expressing displeasure and emphasising the importance of protecting fellow wrestlers when executing high-impact moves. The Undertaker expressed genuine remorse and stated that he prides himself on ensuring the well-being of his co-performers.
I give him the Tombstone 1-2-3, and he’s out, we finish the match and I get backstage and Koko gets me in the hallway and he’s giving me the riot act like ‘Man if somebody gives you their body you gotta be able to protect them, you hurt my neck.’ And I’m like ‘Koko if I hurt you I’m sorry, I really pride myself on being safe and taking care of the guys I’m working with.’
However, the conversation escalated as Koko continued to voice his discontent, prompting Undertaker to offer a resolution outside the arena.
He kept going he was p**sed. It got to the point where I had apologised for as long as I could apologise for and that’s when I said ‘Koko, I’ve apologised to you as much as I know how to do. If you’re not gonna accept that maybe we need to go out in the [parking] lot and figure this out [to fight].’
Despite Undertaker’s attempt to reconcile, Koko persisted in emphasising the need for greater caution, leading to a standoff that ultimately concluded without a physical altercation.
In recent news, The Undertaker recalled an argument he head with a young fan.
